Hungarian team Veszprem will not be part of the regional handball league of SEHA in the 2017/2018 season, the organizers confirmed in an official message to the media.

After last season Vardar won the SEHA league title for the first time during Veszprém’s three-year term, the Hungarians will try to consolidate their ranks by closing in the domestic championship, building a new team under Lyubomir Vranas, and thus Delete bad memories from the Macedonian team’s dominance.

The seventh season will again count ten teams, but apart from the Hungarians there will be no representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Last season it was Team Izvodac, and previously Borac from Banja Luka.

Instead of them, the league leaders welcome the returnees from Vojvodina, and the second representative of Serbia will be Dinamo from Pancevo. The eight teams that remain the same from last season are: Vardar (Macedonia), Metalurg (Macedonia), Zagreb (Croatia), Nexe (Croatia), Celje (Slovenia), Gorenje (Slovenia), Meshkov (Belarus) and Tatran (Slovakia). The first matches are scheduled for August 29 and 30, but the complete schedule will be announced later.
